ABOUT KBB

TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY

In the spring of 2016, a small team of dedicated volunteers in Boylston orchestrated the town's inaugural community-wide cleanup. This endeavor left a positive mark on many residents, opening doors for additional volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, and children. It served as a powerful demonstration of community solidarity, shedding light on the issue of littering and pollution within the town. Moreover, it encouraged everyone to invest in their neighborhoods and nurture the unique sense of belonging within our cherished community.

The success of the second town-wide cleanup, with the support of local businesses, revealed the potential for further community enrichment. From this realization, Keep Boylston Beautiful (KBB) emerged as an organization. Though initiated by a handful of dedicated residents, KBB is truly a community endeavor, poised to transcend the boundaries of mere cleanup efforts.

With the invaluable support of sponsors and volunteers, KBB has focused on establishing a robust foundation, including operational resources and the formalization of our non-profit status. Our ultimate aim extends far beyond cleanup initiatives; we aspire to enrich our community through diverse projects and initiatives. Operating solely on donations, we rely on the generosity of local residents and businesses to sustain our efforts. In return, we are committed to reinvesting these funds directly into community initiatives for the benefit of all.

Today, Keep Boylston Beautiful is steered by these passionate volunteers. If you spot us in town, please don't hesitate to say hello!

Since the spring of 2016, our community has united to conduct 12 town-wide litter cleanups, resulting in the removal of over 13 tons of litter and numerous large debris piles from our roadsides, parks, and public spaces. Volunteers of all ages have enthusiastically participated, including families and groups working together to clean up our town.

During our recent events, volunteers went beyond simply picking up litter. Together, we educated children about the significance of preserving our town's beauty and instilled a sense of achievement and unity within our community. Through our collective efforts, we successfully removed over 27,700 pounds of litter from our beautiful town.
